During the entire month of October, Pumpkin City will serving up pumpkins, rides, and this year…beer for Oktoberfest! All beer proceeds will go to benefit the 3/5 Marines of Camp Pendleton.
On Saturday October 9, we will be celebrating Team Darkhorse Night to raise funds for former 3/5 Marine Sgt. Michael Spivey who was combat injured in Afghanistan to go to the 2022 Beijing Paralympics. So come on by and enjoy a beer poured by Michael himself and hear his amazing story.
About Michael:
Michael was forced to make the decision to amputate his left arm below the elbow. In 2015, he saw an opportunity to once again represent his country, and moved to Colorado for the winter to train and compete in both snowboarding. In 2018, Michael was able to achieve his goal of becoming a Paralympian and in March of 2018, he went to Pyeongchang, South Korea, to compete in the Paralympic Winter Games. Michael continues to train in the hope of competing at the Beijing Winter Paralympics in 2022.
