Today, we pause to honor the memory of Sgt Matthew T. Abbate, a proud Darkhorse Marine who gave his life in service to our nation. Fifteen years ago, on December 2, 2010, he was killed in action in Sangin, Afghanistan. His courage, sacrifice, and devotion will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, warrior.![]()
