Today, we pause to honor the memory of Lance Cpl. David Edward Owens Jr., a proud Darkhorse Marine who gave his life in service to our nation. Twenty‑three years ago, on April 12, 2003, he was killed in action during Operation Iraqi Freedom. His courage, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to his Marines and his mission will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, warrior.![]()
