The wives of the Battalion support each other by creating “welcome baby baskets”, and generous citizens in our city help make those baskets bountiful.
Heidelberg Pastry Shop has a diaper collection box set up year round, and their customers fill it regularly, enabling us to bring a continual supply of diapers to Camp Pendleton. Jacque Jacobsen makes and donates baby towel sets, with baby soap and lotion, and has given us tens of dozens of such sets over the years. St Nicholas Sewing Club provided more than 60 handmade items, including quilts and knit sweaters.
