Today, we pause to honor the memory of Cpl Tevan A. Nguyen, a proud Darkhorse Marine who gave his life in service to our nation. In April and early May, Team Darkhorse  provided support for both current Marines at events on base,  as well as for  future Marines when we supported a project to  improve the facilities inside the building known as “Task Force Grizzly.”   In early May, our city’s adopted 3rdBattalion, 5thMarines  gathered —-

With Covid restrictions limiting travel and social gatherings for everyone, community  interactions here in the city or on base at Camp Pendleton were either  severely restricted or curtailed  last year.   For the young Marines these  restrictions meant many were unable to travel home for the holidays, Single Marines' gatherings, childrens' parties and Santa
